Philip Johnson Glass House

New Canaan, CT

So exciting to finally see the glass house in person. We went on an extended visit and saw the glass house, the pavilion, pool, art museum. (Sulpture center was under reconstruction) Ladder/sculpture, Library, Ghost House and Orientation Center (very dis-orientating by the way). 

Great visit and well worth the wait of a weekend tour (Tours are only not available in winter, even though Philip thought that was the most amazing time of year). All the buildings were designed to interact with each other. The minimalisticness of the place is amazing, especially for something built in the 1950′s.
