His sculptures of children are at the same time attractive and disquieting and rendered with an amazing perfection that is by no means rhetorical or classical. One of the most startling technical features is the construction using small woodblocks and juxtaposing finely polished parts to very rough and sketchy surfaces.

David Kramer is a NY based painter/sculptor and as I found out at his Armory Week VIP Party, my neighbor. What I love about David’s work is his play upon the silliness of advertising. As a ad girl myself I find this especially appealing. The phrases that accompany the images in his paintings are hilarious. Thanks for the party David it was a fun night!
