Very sparkly and full of fluorescent colors. The paintings feel very now and edgy and glittery being up to no good. Can’t trust the glitter. Can’t trust the sheen. There is danger lurking behind these paintings. Don’t get too close or they will bite. Check it out.
Lots O Shows-Plenty to see and do Thursday night in Chelsea. Jonathan Levine has a solo show of Alex Gross paintings that I canít wait to see in person. They have a realism that is slightly offóit throws you. Petzel Gallery has some haunting screen prints by John Stezaker at the petzel Gallery along with a film entitled ìBlindî which fires 24 frames a second at your retina of disparate images that induce a dream like state. Check it out.
