Shag-a-riffic—We skipped spring and went straight to summer, SMH. Anyway there will be a fantastic shagarific show at Jonathan Levine Gallery featuring the hep cat feel of the late 1960’s painting and illustration. I’m sure everyone will be in a good mood/vibe. Wow, what can you say after having an amazing retrospective at the Guggenheim which showcased an amazing body of work and then there’s this. I like when an artist stretches out and tries new forms (sculpture) but the paintings are shit. they look like exact rip offs of 1990′s David Carson type designs. Boo. Lame. Boring.
