Shag-a-riffic—We skipped spring and went straight to summer, SMH. These are very remarkable color photographs from the 1940’s. The color and composition aesthetic is precise. Truly a photographer with a great eye. Visually he seems like a contemporary of William Eggleston and Stephen Shore. Early color photography is very collectable and is all the rage right now. Check this out.
Hot and Humid, And that’s just the art—Insane baroque junk fest sculpture gang-up at Gagosian Gallery on 21st Street. Will be a fun night as long as the weather holds out.
