Really cool immersive environment. You take off your dirty NYC poop stained shoes and enter a lush world of red. Carpet is red, walls are red, lighting is muted. It makes you want to stop a while and admire the food sculptures and contemplate the … pizza! Very shrine like and fun. Definitely check this out before it ends on May 9, 2015

Heavy Party Load This Thursday—Maya Hayuk is having a show at the Cinders gallery pop-up location at 124 Forsyth Street in Manhattan with variously angled canvasses. Definitely worth checking out her latest work. Mike Weiss Gallery has a crazy electrically visual show by Cameron Gray entitled Gymnasty. Should be a great party and lots of intense visuals. Check it out!

African American born in the Bronx. The work deals directly with race and it’s place in American Culture. The flag paintings are really cool. They are from very colorful african countries but have been stripped of their true colors. Very provocative and insightful work. Intense. Check it out.

Massive sculpture that would fit in nicely in your backyard. Represented all over Storm King Sculpture park, it’s nice to see a fresh piece of work by the artist in person in a chelsea gallery. Work feels a little fragile and lacking the strength of a normal di Suvero piece. Check it out.

These sculptures created out of playground metal children’s spring rockers are loaded with metaphor and create a visual accumulation that resembles undersea coral. Removed from playgrounds all over the US because of their lead content, they take everyone of a certain age back to their childhood. Really fun and fun to be around sculptures. So glad that Gagosian Gallery now lets you photograph inside their buildings—this show is photo worthy! Check it out.
