Amazing show of Mark Ryden’s latest work. Amazing amount of detail to his process from painting on a lift with rollers to manufacturing the frames overseas to exacting specifications. There is no other world like his. Even the Fan Mom and Daughter dressed up and brought their favorite Mark Ryden dolls. It’s a macabre world where innocence and the gruesome comingal in an ethereal world. Check it out through January 23, 2016.
The Wrapture is Here—It’s not the end of the world and it’s not yet time for Christmas promotions, but here we have the Wrapture at Walter Wickiser Gallery. Nice work by Mark Travers opening up Thursday night. Check it out.

GOAT. Favorite sculptor of all time. This guy was visionary and inspired generations of sculptors through the ages like Isamu Naguchi, etc. Cool to see such valuable works close at hand. Check it out through July 10, 2015.
Warming Up—Nice shows for this Thursday night. A couple of classic image makers on view. Consantin Brancusi, the mentor for Isamu Noguchi, has works on view at Paul Kasmin gallery and Danziger has Inge Morath and artist Saul Steinberg’s cool collaborations of bag masks that are fun and creative. Definitely worth checking out. Always for a warm festive spirit head over to the Mike Weiss gallery and check out new work by Michael Zelehoski.
Very intriguing night, a night for the curious indeed!—Cool re-appropriated
giant prints from the 1970’s Time Life volume “Library of Photography” by Matt Lipps at Danziger Gallery is visually stunning and oddly compelling. I want one! Also Paul Kasmin has a crazy retro installation that will probably be the party of the night. Tomas Sarceno is showcasing the architecture of the insect.

Happy Valentines Day Weekend!— Julie Saul Gallery has the first state side exhibition of the experimental video and still artist Adam Magyar—definitely worth checking out. Danziger Gallery has the original
photographer that was appropriated by Richard Prince. Jim Krantz’s
photographs are Iconic representations of the west and are easily
recognizable. The architect Ron Arad’s “Pressed Flower” sculptures, made up of compressed Fiat 500s in varying colors mounted on the gallery’s walls should be pretty cool to see (what can’t this guy do?). Check it out!

Very large scale works of ar that are created with 100% serendipity. each imprint is a paint-soap-bubble landing on the canvas based on how the physics of elements come together. Heavy Party Load This Thursday—Maya Hayuk is having a show at the Cinders gallery pop-up location at 124 Forsyth Street in Manhattan with variously angled canvasses. Definitely worth checking out her latest work. Mike Weiss Gallery has a crazy electrically visual show by Cameron Gray entitled Gymnasty. Should be a great party and lots of intense visuals. Check it out!
Wayne White is in the House!— Joshua Liner Gallery has a great show featuring Wayne White of the early fame (Set decorator for the Pee Wee Herman Show) This will be a fun show with giant sized puppets from his residency in York, PA along with his brilliant word paintings. Really cool summer show that riffs off of a 1947 seminal show whereby the curator hung all the art in very off-kilter perspectives to create new ways of seeing the art. Phong ties that as a starting point and creates a elevated orange path over a sea of hay/stra that is very strong smelling to create a new way of seeing current art. Fun summer show. Check it out.
