Works on Paper
Sikkema Jenkins
Ballpoint pen and pencil that is so detailed, but the further you step away the more the image comes in focus. Part of a group show of works on paper. Don’t miss it.

Jeff Koons
A Retrospective
Whitney Museum of American Art
Jeff Koons show has something for everyone, no matter what your taste is. And I think that is the point of this whole exhibition. Jeff Koons mines popular culture and feeds it back the icons and totems of their collective “tastes” and shares it in exquisite form, without passing judgement on whether or not these works should be considered as high-brow or low-brow. Tastey Show. Check it out.
Philippe Pasqua
Unix Gallery
French artist who paints with a different brush every time. Notice the photo of his studio with the stacks and stacks of brushes. These works are monumental. He does sculpture, photography and painting. Pretty amazing for a self-taught artist. The skull photographs are covered in leather and tattooed. Check it out.
Outsider Art Fair
These artists working outside the normal gallery circuit are very obsessive and possessed about making art. Some are mentally challenged and others are just driven by their own creative spirit. Very mesmerizing display of art. And affordable too. Check it out this weekend.
