Interesting show with suitcases hanging from the s=ceiling spilling out their metaphorical contents onto the floor. The typography on the suitcases is amazing. Weird and triply at the same time.
Humidity— It’s getting steamy out there. This feels like summer. Great shows kicking off the summer especially at Mike Weiss Gallery. Very graphic and very fun work by Jerry Kearns and Nora York, check it out!
Many Openings Tonight—Anton Kern gallery has a new show by Marcel Odenbach which should be good. There will also be full scale paintings of Mexican wrestlers wearing full mask regalia as well as Yoan Capote at Jack Shainman show work across 2 galleries in Chelsea. Have fun and check it out.

Great show by the British painter/humorist/dry wit man. Naive approach with a wit and a bite that gives you that “Smile in the mind” On view through May 23, 2015.
Shrigley Doo—New David Shrigley gallery show at Anton Kern Gallery. His shows are always full of humor and insight. Sophisticated thinking with naive, child-like execution. His show is bound to make you smile :) Check it out! Also a couple of good sculpture shows at Metro pictures and Claire Oliver galleries. An as always a great party to be had at Freight & Volume with a show entitled Nest by Mi Ju.

When you walk into the gallery you step through a hastily made tunnel to view his film “Work” and exit into the wider gallery to view these amazing art pieces that depict rioters in mid stride with mouths open, yelling for their rights. The images are peculiar as they are created with vinyl tape that is crudely pasted upon paper. The visuals are very raw and cartoony. Check it out through February 28, 2015.
