Altars
Gagosian Gallery NYC
Epic works on a grand scale. These are monumental works that to his quote “Size is real. Scale is imagined sized” He plays with the real thing at a monumental scale. He dragged a huge boulder through LA and deposited it at LACAMA over a trench that you can walk under and here at Gagosian you can see additional hugh examples of boulders in the negative. Check it out through July 2, 2015.
Constantin Brancusi
Paul Kasmin Gallery NYC
GOAT. Favorite sculptor of all time. This guy was visionary and inspired generations of sculptors through the ages like Isamu Naguchi, etc. Cool to see such valuable works close at hand. Check it out through July 10, 2015.

This guy is hot. Most everything is sold. He reduces the dimensional into a 2D plane all the while preserving it’s 3D sensibilities. Cool show. Check it out through June 20, 2015.

Christopher Wool
Luhring Augustine Gallery NYC
Wow, what can you say after having an amazing retrospective at the Guggenheim which showcased an amazing body of work and then there’s this. I like when an artist stretches out and tries new forms (sculpture) but the paintings are shit. they look like exact rip offs of 1990′s David Carson type designs. Boo. Lame. Boring.
Kim Dong Yoo
Living Together
Amazing portraits of art celebrities created out of hand-painted butterflies. Very detailed and intense. Check it out through June 20, 2015
Warming Up—Nice shows for this Thursday night. A couple of classic image makers on view. Consantin Brancusi, the mentor for Isamu Noguchi, has works on view at Paul Kasmin gallery and Danziger has Inge Morath and artist Saul Steinberg’s cool collaborations of bag masks that are fun and creative. Definitely worth checking out. Always for a warm festive spirit head over to the Mike Weiss gallery and check out new work by Michael Zelehoski.
